I begin this with some Samhain thoughts. I'm fortunate to have a daughter who brings certain things
to light for me. I love learning from my offspring.
Ali writes:
The longest standing tradition of any family anywhere, and indeed, any living being, is the tradition of giving life. Because in order to exist on this plane, the gift of life has been passed to us from generation to generation. And of course what lives must die. Today marks the day the pagans believe the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead is thinnest, giving us the opportunity to peer through. And so I choose to acknowledge our ancestors and celebrate this pagan New Year's holiday, marking the end of the harvest, the end of the year's warmth, and movement into the respite, the hibernation, inwardness, and stillness of winter. The cycle of life and death is what this quarter node between fall equinox and winter solstice marks.

If this inspires you to treat the last day of October as a sort of new year's eve..you're in luck! I come to you with thirty days of journal, art and medicine - JAM.
I'm committing to myself and to my peeps to help anyone build a JAM practice. It's something I've been doing for a while now. I love putting myself first every morning and building a nice foundation for joy.
I'll going to be recovering from surgery for the month of November and want to do something useful and fun while I tackle pain management and pity parties.
Here's what to expect:
*Each day of November, I'll post a journal activity, an art activity and a medicine activity.
Why activity? Well, if you haven't already heard that Camp CARE is Creative Action (and radical expression), it's time you know.
So, if you aren't already a subscriber to this here blog, you can email me at tori@campcarestudio.com and posts shall be delivered each morning of November. If you want to group up and do a challenge..cool! If you want it to be a personal practice builder ..also cool! If you want to be a voyeur..I am right there with you. The fact that I've played voyeur as much as participant in my own JAM Journey will be why you'll receive some curated things that I can't and don't do myself.
Thank you for taking your precious time to read this.
Speaking of precious..my question to you today is "what will you do with your one wild and precious life? Let that be the beginning of your November journal!
I send you peace, love and light - tori
